Remove Image Metadata — what it does
Re-encode images so that EXIF metadata — camera model, timestamps, software and GPS coordinates — does not survive into the output, returning the cleaned set as a ZIP. Because the file is rebuilt from decoded pixels, there is no metadata block left to strip: the information simply is not carried across.

- Re-encoding is lossy for JPEG, so cleaned copies are slightly lower quality than the originals — keep the originals archived privately.
- Metadata is not the only leak: the image content itself, including a visible street sign or a reflection, can identify a location just as well.

Does this remove the copyright field too?
All metadata is dropped, including authorship. If attribution matters, re-add it deliberately after cleaning.
Do platforms not strip EXIF anyway?
Many do, but not all, and not for every upload path. Cleaning before sharing means you are not relying on their behaviour.
Is image quality affected?
Slightly for lossy formats, since the file is re-encoded. Export quality is high, but the operation is not bit-identical.
