Accuracy, limits, and good practice
- Comparison is positional — cell B3 against cell B3 — so an inserted row early in one sheet marks everything below it as different. Align structures first.
- Values are compared as stored; a formatting-only change such as displayed decimal places is not a difference, but a recalculated value is.
- Zero differences is a meaningful result: it is your evidence that an export or migration was faithful.
