Random Team Generator — what it does
Shuffle a list of participants and divide them into the number of teams you specify, with sizes kept as even as the count allows. Random assignment does something a captain-picking process cannot: it removes both the appearance and the reality of favouritism.

Accuracy, limits, and good practice
- When the count does not divide evenly, some teams get one extra member — decide beforehand which way you want the remainder to fall.
- Generating in front of the group is the point: a shuffle done privately looks exactly like a decision.
- For skill-balanced rather than random teams, split the list into tiers and run each tier separately, then combine.
- Paste the final attendee list, not the invitation list: teams generated around people who did not turn up have to be redone on the spot.
Frequently asked questions
Are the teams evenly sized?
As even as the numbers allow. With eleven people in three teams, you get sizes of four, four and three.
Can I keep certain people together?
Not directly. Put them on one line as a unit, or assign them manually after generating.
How do I get a different split?
Generate again. Each run is an independent shuffle and produces a different arrangement.
Can I generate pairs?
Set the number of teams to half the participant count, and the split produces pairs with one group of three if the total is odd.

各組人數會一樣嗎？
在數字允許的範圍內盡量平均。十一人分三組，會得到四、四、三。
可以指定某些人同組嗎？
無法直接指定。可把他們寫在同一行當成一個單位，或產生後手動調整。
想要不同的分法怎麼辦？
再產生一次即可。每次都是獨立洗牌，會得到不同的分組結果。
可以兩人一組嗎？
把組數設成人數的一半即可；若人數為奇數，會有一組是三人。
