Accuracy, limits, and good practice
- Use a strong effect. Weak pixelation of text can be reversed by software, and light blur on a face still leaves it recognisable.
- Mosaic reads more clearly as deliberate redaction; blur can look like a focus artefact and invite people to squint at it.
- Cover generously — extend beyond the edges of what you are hiding, since partial characters at a boundary are often enough to reconstruct the rest.

Is this reversible?
The exported image genuinely loses the pixel data in the region, unlike a drawn box in an editor that can sometimes be moved aside.
Blur or mosaic for redaction?
Mosaic at a coarse block size, or a very strong blur. Both are safe when heavy; both are recoverable when applied lightly.
Can I cover several areas?
One region per pass. Run the tool repeatedly, feeding each result back in, to obscure several places.
