- Selection determines the order in the output; sort the folder view first if the manifest should follow a specific sequence.
- Generate the list at the moment of handover, not later: a manifest describing what a folder used to contain is worse than none at all.

Does it include files in subfolders?
Listing covers the files you select. For a full tree structure with folders, the directory tree generator does that.
Are file contents read?
No, only metadata — names, sizes, types and dates. Contents are never opened or transmitted.
Can I list thousands of files?
Yes. The output stays one line per file and generates quickly even for very large selections.
Can I get file paths as well as names?
